Elon Musk’s top priority is the Tesla AI bot than making cars this year.

On Tesla’s fourth-quarter earnings call, Tesla CEO Elon Musk on Wednesday said that a humanoid robot is the most important product that Tesla has been developing this year, They said that Tesla is supporting this humanoid robot ahead of all of the other vehicles in their lineup, including the much anticipated Tesla Semi, the Cybertruck, and the Tesla Roadster.

Elon Musk teased a Tesla AI bot in August using a human in a robot suit, warning during the company’s AI day that it probably won’t work, but added that he hoped to have a prototype in the next year. Elon Musk also said that the robot, codenamed Optimus, has the potential to be a lot more significant than the vehicle business over time.

Elon Musk, the Technoking added that Tesla has no plans to introduce the Cybertruck this year and they are also not currently working on a $25,000 vehicle and the chip shortage still is hampering the release of newer models without resulting in fewer total vehicles being delivered.

This robot does have the potential to revolutionize the economy if it can perform certain tasks that can now only be carried out by humans, as promised by Elon Musk. Musk also added, “If you think about the economy, it is — the foundation of the economy is labor. Capital equipment is distilled labor. So what happens if you don’t actually have a labor shortage? I’m not sure what an economy even means at that point. That’s what Optimus is about”. A lot of advancements in the robotics industry has allowed a lot of companies to replace certain workers with machines, including Tesla themselves, but the limitations of the technology currently is such that many tasks still need to be done by humans, and with this robot potentially coming in the future.Years. it could really revolutionize the way we work.

Optimus is intended to be friendly, of course, and navigate through a world of humans and limited dangerous, repetitive and boring tasks. Elon Musk said in August, Let’s just hope the world doesn’t turn into an I, robot movie.
