As we saw previously, With two of the biggest billionaires in the world going to space for a 10 minute right in their company rockets (Well, Of course, they were made fun of, but The point is that they started the revolution for space travels, well not exactly space travel but at least just above the ground) But now, one of those billionaires’ (Richard Branson’s) Virgin Galactic Has announced that they are going to be opening ticket sales to the public starting on 16th of February (So you can become an astronaut if you are willing to pay $450,000 for basically something near a 90-minute flight. Also to mark the launch of the public sales start, Virgin Galactic also revealed their new consumer Branding logo. (So this marks the start)
Virgin Galactic CEO Michael Colglazier Said in a statement that they plan to have their first house and customers on board at the start of commercial service later this year, Marking an incredibly strong foundation as they begin regular operations to scale their fleet.
Let’s just say you are the consumer for this product, Here’s what you get for that $450,000 that you pay them, you’ll get a 90-minute ride to the edge of space including the “signature air launch and Mach-3 boost to space,” the company said. Well, these space flights are not very cheap But they are technically very much cheaper than the $55 million that you have to pay for a 10-day SpaceX orbital flight. Well, technically the main competitor for Virgin Galactic is Jeff Bezos’ blue origin. (Although they haven’t launched and Released any pricing for the Suborbital tickets) So it seems like Virgin Galactic is entirely alone in the market (Even though their one year late as they were supposed to be available in the market by last year) which could help make them the One company that people go to most.
As of late last year, the company has sold 100 tickets to space at $450,000 price. Around 700 people, Including Elon Musk, have made reservations for this Spaceflight and we are looking forward to seeing the spaceflight.
