Twitter is asking developers outside the company to prevent harassment on their platform as, under a new experiment, the company will now recommend third-party moderation apps as an additional measure user can take.
With this new update, Twitter will surface new recommendations for many third-party apps out there when a user blocks or mutes a person, for now, these apps include Block Party, Bodyguard, and Moderate.
These tools have already been available for a while but Twitter users previously had to seek these services to get them set up. But now the company will recommend them directly in the Twitter app, alongside their tools.
