The Chevy Corvette is no longer a gas guzzler, it's an EV

Yeah, that’s right folks, the Chevrolet Corvette is now going electric. It’s one of Chevy’s most iconic cars and GM just confirmed that they are developing a fully electric Corvette and an electrified hybrid version that they will make available as soon as 2023.

The car manufacturer did not provide any more details about this car and even the video they attached to the teacher doesn’t offer a lot of clues, although it still is a very big move for the company as the Corvette is very synonymous with gas-guzzling American sports car and it’s probably the best time to change the definition of an American sports car.

BREAKING: An electrified #Corvette will be available as early as next year and a fully electric version to follow. Stay tuned for more. pic.twitter.com/6lDUWpOIZ2— Chevrolet (@chevrolet) April 25, 2022

Also, a Corvette EV isn’t very surprising as GM is planning to exclusively sell only electric vehicles by 2035. Considering we’ve already seen the electrified Hummer, we already knew this was coming.
