Meta employees won't get perks at office anymore

Meta employees are coming to the office on March 28th and they will have to find a new place to take their dirty laundry because the company is cutting the free laundry and dry cleaning service, and they’re also pushing back dinner time to a later hour. This is a response to the new hybrid work schedule at Meta as most of the employees will still work from home, at least a few days of the week.

A Meta spokesperson said that they Have adjusted on-site services and amenities to better reflect the needs of the hybrid workforce that they have at Meta. Meta will also begin serving dinner at 6:30 PM Pacific Time (Which is 1/2 an hour after the last shuttle departs the campus of Meta) So that means the employees have to choose between a free meal or a free ride home (Hard decisions) Well, a lot of employees at the company or unhappy about this change.

Technology companies provide incredible office perks to compensate for a very stressful workload. Companies provide free meals, laundry, fitness classes, backup childcare, and a lot more. But this new shift to a hybrid work environment means they will have to deal with a lot fewer employees and that helps out with cost-effectiveness.
