It is the exact same pitch we have heard a dozen times this year from every major player in Silicon Valley. Dressed up in a slightly different marketing trench coat, begging us to surrender our friction to a machine that promises to think three steps ahead.

They are calling it anticipatory. That is just a clever industry euphemism for software that guesses what you want before you finish forming the thought, which usually means it is just guessing wrong, more loudly and with more confidence than before. We have watched Meta roll out Muse and Google push Gemini's Spark, and now Snap wants a piece of that exact same pie, hoping that sleek hardware branding will distract us from the fact that we are voluntarily inviting another layer of intrusive surveillance into our workflows.
