Facebook now lets you post Reels from other apps

Facebook is encouraging users to create original content for their TikTok clone [Reels] This move comes alongside the introduction of new sharing tutorials feature that allows users of third-party apps to post directly to Facebook reels. The update also allows outside developers to add a real spot into their app so users can post clips directly into reels while taking advantage of the editing tools.

This move also shows how Facebook cares about the growing importance surrounding Reels. Just the way the company once copied Snapchat stories, integrating them into their service. Facebook has pushed Reels into nearly every part of its service in recent months.

Instagram is still filled with recycled TikToks even though they said that it would stop promoting videos with other apps’ watermarks. Adding support to two other content creation platforms really won’t solve that overnight, but it does help bring some fresh new clips that aren’t from TikTok.
