Twitter launching a new service for Tor, with more secure and private tweeting.

Twitter has just announced that they are launching a new version of their site as Tor Onion website, Optimizing it for the privacy-protecting and censorship-evading network. Alec Muffett, a Software engineer Announced this on his Twitter profile, Saying that the Tor network has been added to Twitter’s supported browsers page.

The Onion Twitter service is now available at https://twitter3e4tixl4xyajtrzo62zg5vztmjuricljdp2c5kshju4avyoid.onion When you use the Tor browser or any similar tool, you can access the ordinary website via the Tor network, which previously you could not do. This new version launched on the Tor network gives a lot more layers of protection to the already anonymized browsing experience and is very specifically designed for the onion network.

Onion services are normally said to be hidden or dark web, the thing is that many sites on the Tor network are not bad. Many websites offer Tor-specific versions like DuckDuckGo search engine, The New York Times, BBC, and ProPublica. Tor is used because it encrypts web traffic and routes it through many servers to hide information about the users. Having a distinct access path also helps platforms like Facebook and Twitter more easily monitor malicious activity that takes advantage of Tor without blocking normal users.
