Apple might just delay iPadOS 16 a month late

Apple normally rolls out their major software versions regularly, with iPhone and iPad updates usually dropping after their big annual hardware event in September every year. Things are going to be different this year as Apple might just delay iPad OS 16 by a month.

The main problem Apple currently faces is with the stage manager multitasking tool, which is only available for M1-powered iPads. That allows users to resize Windows and have them overlapping. However, many beta users did find this feature to be very buggy and Apple Is working on fixing it.

According to many previous reports, Apple has new iPads lined up for later this year, including a new base model iPad with a USB-C port and an M2-powered iPad Pro. Dealing with iPadOS 16 might mean it emerges closer to the arrival of new tablets.
