iOS users can now skip CAPTCHA tests

iOS users will now be able to avoid the Captcha and the bot systems that stand between them and some website ends on many websites out there. These systems are normally used by websites to protect themselves from getting false traffic from bots, but Apple detailed a private access token system in iOS 16, iPad OS 16 in Mac OS Ventura in WWDC 2022 that skips Captcha altogether for some apps and websites out there.

There’s going to be a new automatic verification feature, and supporting websites will use iCloud systems to verify your Apple ID and your device which showed a token proving you are trustworthy. You won’t have to enter any weird text or tap pictures of traffic lights before you get to show that you’re human anymore. Apple also said that devices won’t share sensitive data linked to your account like e-mail addresses or phone numbers, the company also won’t ever know who’s making the verification request so they cannot tie these checks to specific providers.

This new token system is better as it respects privacy, doesn’t track your IP address, and improves accessibility for people with disabilities. This tech could see widespread adoption that might extend beyond Apple hardware, as Cloudflare and Fastly have already unveiled plans to support this new approach. Another great new feature for iOS users. It is getting a lot more appealing with all the back-end work Apple is doing out there, making very little tiny differences to how everything works, making it a lot easier for the end-user to use the device and not go through any hassle. So it’s slowly starting to seem like iPhones are a great package and it’s getting easier than ever to just delve into the Apple ecosystem.
