Apple is now starting to roll out its highly anticipated iOS 15.4 updates next week. This update has been in beta since January and it comes packed with a lot of new exciting features that will offer a lot of improvements over the entirety of the user experience. Apple Did not share the exact release date of this new update, But it will become available as an update starting on March 18th. This is technically the same day Apple’s new iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro with the new green finishes Will become available to the wider public. These green phones will ship with iOS 15.4 pre-installed and it’s a very sensible date to launch the update for other devices too.
This new update brings a mask-friendly face ID that really makes it possible to unlock your phone while wearing a face mask. This feature works surprisingly well, as confirmed by a lot of verifiable sources. The new tap to pay feature on iPhones is also rolling out with iOS 15.4 and will transform a lot of compatible phones into terminals for contactless payments. This really will mean that you might see a lot more merchants using their iPhones as a sort of cash register. This new update also introduces new safety features for Airtags, with the iPhone showing a notification warning the user against using air tags to track someone’s location without consent.
There’s also the new 5th American voice for Siri that Apple confirmed belongs to a member of the LGBTQ+ community. iOS 15.4 also includes 36 new emojis that you can use. iOS 15.4 will be compatible with any device that supports iOS 15, ranging from the first generation iPhone 6S to the iPhone 13.
