You have to pay Twitter to change the Android app’s home screen icon now.

Twitter has really gotten deep into the subscription service business with Twitter Blue, a cheap monthly subscription offering some additional features for using Twitter. After months of this feature being available on iOS, Twitter Blue now allows you to change the look of the home screen icon.

This was announced earlier this week on the official Twitter blue account. Twitter Blue users that own Android devices will now be able to select from a list of custom home screen icons, and it’s really simple As you just have to change the color of the Twitter icon according to your liking. It’s not just color. you get more options to customize the home screen icon.

Along with the colors, Twitter Blue allows limited time “Seasonal icons” related to sports, the seasons, or any other special events happening at the time. iPhone owners have been able to use the feature since Twitter Blue first debuted, but it’s now being made available to Android users.

Just letting you know if you are interested, this feature is available only if you pay $2.99/ every month for a Twitter Blue subscription. Features include “bookmark folders”, “undo tweet”, ”Reader Mode”, and more. There are a lot of features that are still not available on Android, though, such as ad-free articles, themes, and custom navigation. The subscription is really great If you own an iPhone. Although we are rooting for Twitter to make these features available to Android users too.
