After a lot of speculations and teasers, Apple has officially unveiled its new tap to pay feature for the iPhone. Apple is now teaming up with third-party companies to make the platform available to app developers and other payment platforms, and Apple also states that Stripe (a major payments company) is going to be the first payment platform to offer it on iPhone this spring. Tap to play on iPhone is going to be available for payment platforms and AB developers to integrate into their iOS apps, and their goals are going to be offering it as a payment option to their business customers. Stripe will also be the first platform to offer the tap to pay on iPhone to their business customers, it’s also really a sure thing that more payment platforms are available on iPhone will be taking advantage of this feature in the coming time.

Of course, Apple is disclosing this feature on their iPhone models only, and this feature arrives later in 2022. Apple will allow merchants to accept payments contactless as an iOS app on an iPhone XS Max or later.

How this feature works is the merchant promised the customer to hold their iPhone or Apple Watch to pay with Apple Pay and their contact list, credit or debit card or another digital wallet near the merchant’s iPhone and the payment will be securely complete through NFC.

Apple also promises to work with other LinkedIn payment platforms and app developers across the payments and commerce industry to offer the tap to pay on iPhone 4 millions of merchants in the United States and as usual, this technology is only going to be used on iPhones.
