Somebody’s accounts focus on stuff like emoji, mashups, news, and weather updates. Twitter also says that this new label that they add two automated accounts will provide users with more details about what it is about and what purpose it serves. Twitter says that it will help people decide which accounts to follow and engage with, adding a new layer of trust and transparency.

Twitter also announced in 2020 that every high-quality bot account would need to make it clear that they were not manually operated and under that rule, operators of that account will need to state that they are automated and display the name of the person behind them.
