The platform is launching an in-app Mini with Ticketmaster. Snapchat revealed a new partnership between them and Ticketmaster the world’s largest ticket marketplace and a global leader in ticketing products and services. They unveiled this decision on Wednesday and it will certainly make staying updated on shows and inviting friends over a lot easier. This is an in-app-mini (A micro app inside the Snapchat app, kind of like an extension, but only Snapchat can make changes to it) Well anyways, this functions as a dating service and also curate a selection of local shows and different places tailored to the user’s interests (Great, so we’re deep-diving into the personal bubble)
Users who will sign up to this will be asked first to take us a little survey which makes the app compile a list of artists and events they would potentially like and they can then swipe left or right depending on if the show sparks interest (Just like Tinder but instead for shows) the algorithm will then detect if their friends also like the event And then they will start recommending more shows that they could potentially all like. Snapchat Maps will also start displaying upcoming concerts and events nearby. (The grand money-making scheme, is kinda useful for some people too)
Snapchat could also do very well in the live music space as they are especially popular under the 25 year old demographic Especially in the United States.
Snap Inc. also had a little boost in popularity gaining 13 million new users in the last quarter of 2021 previously and also they have gotten into the music space by basically partnering up with Universal Music Group to launch a good music discovery tool. Snapchat currently rivals TikTok as the Gen Z app of choice for social media apps But the fact that people who connect on Snapchat feel legitimate Could make snap the market leader in the coming years (We never know it could go the opposite way too)
