Garmin just launched the Fenix 7 Smart Watch, the latest model in the lineup of their best smartwatches for cycling. As the successor of the Fenix 6, the Fenix 7 comes with all the features that the predecessor had. This new model comes with increased battery life, a better processor, and a brand new model that tracks your stamina. This new watch, the Fenix 7X, Also has a built-in Torch providing quick access to hands-free light.

The Fenix 7 marks the next generation of Garmin’s flagship model. The new models feature a touch screen interface with an extra button control as well as intuitive topographical maps. It seems like they are pitching their smartwatch as very rugged off-the-grid watches that you would wear while trekking or climbing up some mountains in the middle of nowhere.

These new features also come with the features of the old models, including the recovery time advisor and daily workout sessions. The biggest new addition to this is the real-time stamina tool, which allows athletes to monitor and track exertion levels during a run or bike activity.

Did you know the Garmin Fenix 7X is now also solar-powered? Yes, it is. With an increased surface area, it has a claimed solar harvesting capability that is 200% more than the Fenix 6. For this reason, Garmin states that the new Fenix 7 can go even longer thanks to its predecessor between charges with the claimed battery life of up to five weeks in smartwatch mode and up to five days in GPS mode.
