Microsoft Teams can now turn your phone into a walkie-talkie

One of the Big features of Boost Mobile prepaid phones that actually boosted the phones values, in the late 2000s Were there push to talk buttons, It was basically a walkie talkie feature, allowing you to play your voice through another Boost Mobile user’s phone. Microsoft has now brought this feature to iOS and Android devices through their Teams app.

Microsoft isn’t really using rappers or athletes to make this feature seem really cool the way Boost Mobile did. They are positioning this feature as a way to use The tech available for aiding frontline workers, Basically helping them grow their user base. Which is a good thing.

In a blog post on Wednesday at Emma Williams, VP Corp of modern work transformation at microsoft announced that they were introducing a walkie talkie ability in teams on all mobile phones. They also said the feature would come to some zebra devices such as struggled phones or scanning devices, which may even have a button for you to press to connect instantly like real walkie talkies.

According to them, the number of frontline workers using teams has grown 400% from March to November last year, so bringing a walkie talkie feature for this app for mobile devices really seems to address challenges.

It’s not just Microsoft doing this thing though, Apple also came with this functionality in the Apple Watch back in 2018. Well this is not a very new of a thing. Well, Microsoft did position this feature as a worker tool. There’s nothing preventing you from using it like talking with your friends right next door.
