This is the end, Goodbye Blackberry



Oldie BlackBerry devices will lose text, call, and data functionality soon, this is the end of that king of the industry: BlackBerry. 

This isn’t the first time bidding goodbye to Blackberry but this truly is an absolute end for heritage hardware. On January 4th, all phones, tablets running BlackBerry software (BlackBerry 10 or earlier, or its tablet OS PlayBook) “no longer reliably function,” said Blackberry

There’s no guarantee you’ll be able to make phone calls, send texts, use data, establish an SMS connection. And that officially marks the end for them. January 4th. Please Note that the BlackBerry devices running Android will continue to work as normal.

This still might not be the last BlackBerry demise. They have encountered a sad downfall since its prevailing period in the late 2000s. 

BlackBerry tried to restart from scratch in 2013 with BlackBerry 10 OS that failed, in 2015 changed to building Androids which also failed. In 2016, they licensed their brand to third-party manufactories. This is how the BlackBerry name remains.  

In 2020, a Texas firm named OnwardMobility said they were building a 5G Android-powered BlackBerry with a full QWERTY keyboard to release in 2021, maybe they might come up with it and if they don’t, we’ll once again be celebr.. (ahem) mourning for Blackberry. 

Here’s a tip for Blackberry, people don’t want physical tactile buttons to use on their phones, it’s simply useless (that is what we predict, caused the demise of Blackberry
