Google Stadia just revealed some great new streaming features

Google Stadia is still very much alive if you didn’t already know, and they are really making some big progress as they will now make it easier for users to live stream games. The company is now unveiling a new party stream feature that will help users privately broadcast their gameplay to up to nine other users who can either join in on the game or just keep watching. Users can take advantage of serious party chat features during these streams, including emoji and voice reactions.

Currently, stadia only allows players to directly share their gameplay to YouTube but this new party stream feature might really help gamers who don’t want to broadcast their games to the world, but want to share it with a few friends they have. We’ve really already seen other companies like Discord with their Go live feature tapping into this need to game stream to a very few limited number of people.

Other updates to Stadia now include the ability for players to switch devices mid game without ending the live stream, like streaming a Stadia game from your PC and then resume playing it on your Android device without halting the streaming session. This new feature began rolling out for users on Monday and it will be available for every player in the next 24 hours. Keep in mind that this feature is only limited to desktop and Android devices, but we’ll expand to more devices in the future.
