Amazon’s Palm reading Tech is now expanding to more stores in the US

Amazon’s Palm Reading Payment Tech will now be available in a lot more whole food stores, as the company is now rolling out Amazon one to more than 65 Whole Foods shops in California, starting with Malibu, Montana Ave in Santa Monica. More locations in Los Angeles, Orange County, Sacramento, the San Francisco Bay area in Santa Cruz will be coming online in the coming weeks.

Previously, palm based payments were only available in a handful of whole food stores in Austin, LA, New York City and Seattle. In California you could also try Amazon one at the company style fashion store in Glendale and certain fresh and go locations, but now the Store network is now increasing more than ever. Amazon One is a streamlined retail shopping experience, as long as your palm and payment card are linked to the service and you just have to hover your hand above a scanner to complete a purchase. All the consumers will have to stop at a checkout terminal. They won’t have to pull out their phone for Amazon’s “just walk out “ system. So this is a lot more convenient for a lot of consumers who might just have a lot of stuff on their hands and might just have to wave a palm on top of the scanner to just complete the payment.

Third party adoption might be very tricky, as Amazon really has touted plans to use Amazon one at concert venues and sports stadiums. Although there has been a lot of mounting backlash over worries that palm data might just be misused or stolen, Amazon has continued to say they hold information and secure cloud storage.
