Logitech and Tencent are now working on a handheld gaming rig

Logitech and Tencent are now working on a new handheld cloud gaming device that will blend the Logitech brand hardware with Tencent software, according to the two companies. According to a new landing page from the two companies, this device will be called the Logitech G Gaming handheld.

The system might be released to the market leader this year, supporting many different cloud gaming services like Xbox Cloud Gaming and GeForce Now as well. We are sure and do expect the handheld to support both of these platforms at the very least.

We don’t yet really know if the device will go on sale as scheduled. It remains to be seen considering the supply chain shortage crisis that’s currently affecting production and making it difficult for every electronic company out there. However, considering that many cloud gaming services are still accessible through web apps on phones the device likely won’t need a lot of processing might and it won’t even have to be as powerful as the Steam Deck. It could use a lot of cheaper components which would make it easier for the two companies to manufacture the device and sell it to the masses.
