YouTube creators can now add corrections to their videos

YouTube creators will now be able to add info cards to their videos, titled “View corrections”. It’s a new info card style feature that lets users click or tap on it to access the correction in the description. However, this card will only appear once and for the first time stamp collection and that might not entirely solve this issue if a creator has a lot of Corrections to make, but at least they’ll be able to draw attention to their first clarification.

It’s a very good new alternative to editing a video and re-uploading it, which will really ’cause the creator to lose the existing view count, likes and comments, and other engagement. Creators will also be able to pin a comment where the correction is made, but there’s no guarantee that viewers were reading it, so this feature was a must-have and YouTube has now given it to the hands of creators all around the world.

Youtube has brought this feature after a lot of feedback from creators and eligible creators will get access to it by the end of June. It won’t be available for creators who have active strikes on their channel, or if the video in question is inappropriate, vote viewers. It still is a really useful tool that will help creators provide current information if they realize after uploading a video that something’s not right.
