YouTube is now offering podcasters up to $300,000 to create videos.

It seems like YouTube is now starting to compete with very big players on the podcast spectrum like Amazon, Apple, and Spotify. Many sources out there say that YouTube is now offering podcasters “grants“ to produce videos, including filmed versions of their shows. A singular podcast creator normally receives $50,000 in a podcast network getting up to $200,000 to $300,000.

YouTube already is a very large platform for a lot of podcasters out there, but they have not pursued the content as aggressively as other major players in the market, Spotify on the top. This strategy from Youtube’s end is not very surprising as very big players like Amazon and Spotify have already been getting a lot more podcast major deals while Apple’s Podcast app is still one of the biggest homes for a lot of exclusive shows out there.

These money packages being lent out by YouTube are not going to be Securing exclusive deals, but they will Encourage creators to make podcasts available on YouTube.
