Faraday Future, the California-based EV startup has finally made a car.

On Wednesday, they held an event celebrating the completion of its first “production-intent” FF91, the ultra-luxury electric SUV that has been in the works for nearly eight years. Faraday Future — which also goes by Faraday Future Intelligent Electric since merging with a special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC, in July 2021 — claims it is still on schedule to formally begin production of the FF91 in the third quarter of 2022.

It’s certainly a very big milestone for the company, And this is very cool because they have experienced very high rates of turnover, Got hit with bankruptcy Many times and have still somehow managed to come back from the brink of extinction. The company calls it Milestone #4, This is the fourth out of the seven milestones that you say will eventually lead the car to start production. The company has Made cars in the past, Mostly known for the infamous Batmobile Static concept car that debuted at the 2016 CES. They also created an FF91 Which was cool and it did drive.

In 2017, things started going downhill for Future, they announced a $1 billion factory in the Nevada desert that never got built. They started hemorrhaging money and employees while putting their HQ up for sale. The point is, a lot of bad things happened to them at that time. They did get a new CEO and now they have their first car out, But who’s gonna buy the cars? Well, there’s where marketing comes in, they’ve launched a multi-channel communication campaign called “Born in California” as well as something called medals Campaign to recognize their suppliers and contract manufacturers.

According to the company, users on the FF Intelligent app Will be able to earn the supplier medals for their accounts by completing specific tasks or fulfilling co-creation challenge requirements. The medals are electronic awards added to users’ FFID accounts on the FF Intelligent App. So, an NFT? It’s unclear exactly if these electronic awards will live on the blockchain, but I wouldn’t put it past Faraday Future to pull a kooky stunt like that. Shine on, you crazy diamonds.

So basically this is an NFT thing and it’s unclear If these awards will ever live forever on the blockchain. Well, no matter what, this is a very risky stunt and it could probably pay off very well or maybe they start going downhill again.
