Epic Games is now hiring contingent workers for full time and with more benefits.

Epic Games is now hiring their US-based contingent workers for full time and with more benefits, They are extending this offer to quality assurance testers as well as other eligible contract-based employees. Epic Games will offer full-time employment to eligible US-based contingent workers and many of these offers will be effective till April 4th. Some workers won’t receive the offer as there are a few exceptions that make sense for both the worker and epic games to maintain contingent worker status.

Epic Games is going to be hiring a few hundred of their contractors, most but not all are quality assurance testers. It also looks confirmed that all the workers will be eligible for the US employee benefits plans, and will also be directly employed by Epic Games.

Epic will still hire contingent workers for short-term needs. Although there is not much additional information to share about the other types of contingent workers outside of quality assurance testers. Epic is going to be hiring and they did not specify which workers are excluded from the offer. So if you are looking for a job at Epic and you manage to fall into that category, you could just go ahead and put your name on that form.

This move from Epic to make their contract-based workers full-time employees comes at a time when there are many tensions between workers and major game development studios. This is a huge step towards improving the working conditions for quality assurance testers and other workers in that department.
