With the recent Fight between Epic Games and Apple, Fortnite hasn’t been available on iOS since Apple took it away from the App Store in August 2020. But guess what, it’s back. It’s not back in the App Store but it is available on Nvidia’s GeForce Now service, it’s currently still available on a closed beta (not as seamless when you use a native app) But the fact that cloud gaming is working and is slowly getting to public access is very cool.

In this closed beta, you will be able to play a mobile version of Fortnite (It’ll feel similar If you previously used to play Fortnite on your phone) This layout is going to be very similar in this experience and it is very much easy to navigate through the menus and other onscreen controls.

Playing on the GeForce now service feels very much responsive and it’ll feel like you were playing on a Nintendo Switch or PS5 maybe. The game responsiveness or laziness does depend on how powerful your Internet connection is. (So if you are one of those 5G privileged people, You don’t have to worry about network speed and power)

If Apple ever allows the Native Fortnight app back on the App Store (We speculate that is highly unlikely) If there are any hard color Fortnite fans out there, you can use this service To play not just Fortnite, but many other cool games right on the cloud.

It still is unclear when GeForce Now will be available For the masses. Also if you do want to use it right now, you will have to request access to the closed beta versions, and anyone getting in right now is not guaranteed. So yeah, we are looking forward to GeForce Now coming up for the masses. It’s a cool concept, and if it is good enough, maybe I’ll start using it myself.
