You’ll now be able to make a “Flock” on Twitter.

Twitter seems to be working in the future, allowing you to share tweets with a specific group of people. Is this is kind of sounding similar to you, it’s because it is a thing on Instagram with the close friends stories feature.

On Twitter, you will be limiting your posts to a “flock”, your flock to be exact. Twitter did give us a glimpse of the future last July when they called it “Trusted friends” But then a mobile developer called Alessandro Paluzzi Kept track of Twitter’s progress, and it seems like they are going all-in with it.

According to their recent findings, It seems like Twitter is working on a page that shows more information on what this is all about. A page that you probably saw when they introduced Twitter spaces and Twitter NFT profile photos.

Anyways, this page that Twitter set up explains to us that you will be able to add up to 150 members on a single flock, Only these users will be able to view or reply to the tweet sent out by you. (That is within your flock) And in case you don’t want someone to stay in your flock anymore, Twitter also says that they will not notice when anyone is taken out of the flock.

Also, if you are in someone else’s flock and they send out a tweet, there will be a label that will appear beneath that tweet, It could be like – “You can see this Tweet because the author has added you to their Flock.” This will make it easier for anyone to distinguish between close friends or anyone else you know on Twitter. also before sending a tweet twitter will probably ask you to display an audience option.

We also don’t know what the Retweet situation will be as retweeting a private tweet within the flock could make it not private, So we hope they are working on that. We speculate that Twitter won’t be adding any retweet option on the flock tweets.

A Twitter spokesperson told The Verge that They are always working on new ways to help people engage in healthy conversations, They also said that the name “Twitter Flock” Is just a placeholder name. So it seems an awful lot like this won’t be the real name for what it is going to be in the future. And it feels like it is for the best.
