XMG introduced the world’s first portable liquid cooler for laptops, the greatest thing ever?

Mobile processors have come a long way in the past several years, You used them in your phones and it’s even being used in many other different kinds of devices. This technology is at a point where it can easily replace desktops. However, the cooling systems adapted for laptops are not the best compared to air or water-based Solutions for desktops. Laptops are not fast enough, but they tend to get noisier and hotter when used to their full potential.

This is not so much the case on desktop PCs as they have sufficient cooling to get them going always. While laptop OEMs can further tweak their cooling systems to avoid such issues, merges a company that is addressing the problem head-on with an improved laptop cooling solution that includes the world’s first external water pump.

Yes, you heard me right. It is an external Water pump. They brought it out with their new Oasis external AIO Which Will be released. As an option to the new XMG Neo 15 laptop lineup, getting support for Intel’s Alder Lake platform and the latest RTX. 3000Ti-Mobile D GPU’s.

This new laptop called the XMG NEO 15, Will be powered by the 14 core Intel Core i7 12700H Which will be coupled with the 64GB DDR5-4800 RAM, And two PCI E 4.0 Nvme SSD storage solutions. Also going to be featuring a 240 Hertz 144 pixel IPS display with 95% or SRGB color gamut. This is going to be pretty much a very powerful beast. Well anyways, This is also going to be a port monster with the Thunderbolt 4 connector and HDMI 2.1 video out, and a full-size SD card reader. It’s also going to be coming with a 93 Watt-hour battery, and the chassis is half a profile of 26.6 millimeters. With a total system weight of 2.2 kilograms.

XMG is planning to expand Oasis support for future laptop lineups through a standardized connector. This approach is based on the principle that compatible laptops are prepared for use with Oasis.

Also, according to the company this Oasis water cooler helps lower the CPU and GPU temperatures by around 20 degrees Celsius, where the laptop’s fans only operate up to 50% of their maximum speed. This kind of sounds like a Windows PC going straight up to kill the MacBook M1. And we all know that isn’t happening. Also, this laptop allows for a slightly higher clock speed that boosts the performance further.

Currently, the noise levels and cooling efficiency of this Oasis or still being tweaked by XMG and final specs will be released this February when the NEO 15 is expected to ship.

They target a retail price of around 2500 euros right now, The price for the Oasis XMG Is going to be an optional accessory that will not exceed 200 euros. So yeah, this is going to be a beast.
