Microsoft’s Chrome OS competitor Windows 11 SE is making its way onto a handful of laptops after getting Windows 11 SE in November. Microsoft OEM partners are now starting to make devices available globally for schools and students. This is a Google Chromebook competitor. Companies like Acer, Asus, Dell Dynabook, laptop, Lenovo, HP, and more Are creating Windows 11 SE laptops.

Windows 11 SE will be available on new low-cost devices and be available for school and education customers. It’s designed to take on Chromebooks and education optimized for Microsoft Edge, Office, and Microsoft other cloud-based services. Well, you could say that this is just a glorified Chromebook made by Microsoft. In terms of hardware, many laptops will be available in the coming weeks. Many OEMs are reusing existing low-cost devices to ship with Windows 11 SE preinstalled.

With these many low-cost devices currently working with Windows 11 SE smoothly, it shows how optimized this OS is and how it could be a serious competitor to Google Chromebooks.

Asus has its BR100F laptop that includes a 360 hinge, a touch screen, display with stylus support, and a rubber bumper and spill-resistant keyboard. It’s not just them, it’s many other companies like Dell with their latitude 3120 laptops. Another company called Dynabook (previously known as Toshiba.) Made their own Windows 11 SE on its existing E10 devices. HP got their new Probook Fortis 14 inch G9 laptop.

After so many OEMs making their own Windows 11 SE devices. You would expect at least the main people to come up with a new device that supports this OS. And you’re right, Microsoft just came in with their own $249 Surface laptop SE, The first true Chromebook competitor. (Because it’s never fun until the main company decides to launch a device of their own, Featuring an OS that THEY made. )
