Microsoft has discontinued the Xbox One, the veteran is now gone

The latest generation of many gaming consoles arrived in 2020. Including the new introduction of the Sony PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. These consoles are still very difficult to purchase. Still today in 2022. Due to the ongoing silicon shortage. But that isn’t stopping Microsoft from shifting all their resources to the new consoles as they revealed they ended production of the last generation Xbox One consoles.

They said in a statement “To focus on production of Xbox Series X / S, we stopped production for all Xbox One consoles by the end of 2020.” The Xbox One lineup included the Xbox Series X, a higher-end model built for 4K gaming, and the cheaper Xbox Series S. The original Xbox One hardware configuration with a Kinect sensor, as well as a minor revision that removed the Kinect, were both discontinued in 2017.” Well, Microsoft did say goodbye to their last generation console, but Sony isn’t ready to do that. Sony did plan to end production of the PlayStation 4 and 2021 within consoles components in short supply. They will still build around a million more PS4 consoles this year. However, the PS4 still isn’t immune from stock Management issues.

Even though the series X&S can run all the software built for the Xbox One family, you don’t have to worry about the games being left in the past, it won’t be affecting anyone but but it’s really sad to see these companies surrendering because Of the silicon shortage
