Foldable Motorola Razr 3 confirmed with better design and more power

The Motorola Razr 5G successor is in the works Chen Jin, general manager of the Lenovo Group said, which is pretty interesting because Motorola was the first one to build a foldable phone in 2019. This indicates the fact that they were the ones with the first vision and they might be the ones taking it forward.

They also said that Motorola has been quietly working on the third-generation Motorola Razr. This is very interesting because previously they had not very great UI but this time around they might have refined it and the UX might’ve gotten better, the external design also might have gotten more refined.

The current Motorola Razer 5G currently has a 6.2-inch display with a 2.7-inch outer screen foldable of course. Powered by the Snapdragon 765g chipset and packing a 2800 mAh battery, which isn’t a lot for a power user in this day, practically the battery is pretty small and you might not be able to use it for long and that also might be an indicator of why the Motorola Razer 5G did not sell very well.

Another reason why the Motorola Razer 5G did not sell very well is that it costs $1400 which compared to the $1,000 Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is pretty steep. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 also comes with the new Snapdragon 888 SoC, wireless charging, and water resistance which makes it a far better deal.

Chen Jin said that the Motorola Razr 3 will be released first in China, they also did not give a date but a previous rumor did say that the handset wouldn’t be here till the second half of the Year.

The Motorola Razr 3 will go up against the likes of the Huawei P50 Pocket and the unannounced Z Flip 4 which is rumored to feature the latest Snapdragon chip and an under-display camera.

The Motorola Razr 3 will be competing against the Huawei P50 Pocket and the Galaxy Z Flip 4, rumored to feature the latest Snapdragon shape and under-display camera. With an under-display camera that is technically very gimmicky and the Samsung brand trust with foldable, there are high chances of Motorola Razr losing against the Z Flip 4 (please note that these are just our predictions)

The Samsung Z Flip 3 has proven to be very popular especially in South Korea, where foldable are outselling normal phones buy a substantial amount. If Moto wants a good market response on this device, they should price it somewhere around $1000 which is highly likely.
