He is the founder, CEO and Chief Engineer at SpaceX; early-stage investor, CEO and Product Architect of Tesla, Inc.; founder of The Boring Company; and co-founder of Neuralink and OpenAI. He certainly is making progress across various fields and is also considered the best billionaire to ever exist.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has been named Time magazine’s Person of the Year. TIME announced that Musk, the wealthiest man in the world, was its choice. They wrote in Time’s profile of Musk: “Person of the Year is a marker of influence, and few individuals have had more influence than Musk on life on Earth, and potentially life off Earth too.” “In 2021, Musk arose not just as the world’s wealthiest person but also as perhaps the most prosperous example of a monumental shift in our society”.

Musk’s spaceflight organization made a record in September successfully launching four passengers into orbit on the first mission to space with an all-civilian crew. And in April, NASA selected SpaceX as the space corporation to produce lunar landing procedures that could carry astronauts to the moon by 2024.

Time also quoted the researchers who made the Covid-19 vaccines as the year’s icons of the year.

The image features scientists Katalin Kariko, Barney S. Graham, Kizzmekia Corbett, and Drew Weissman — “achieved a breakthrough of singular significance, introducing a creative and highly effective vaccine medium, based on mRNA, that will influence our health and well-being far beyond this pandemic,”

TIME also gave awards in different categories, including Simone Biles as athlete of the year and Olivia Rodrigo as entertainer of the year. Time has annually selected a Person of the Year for nearly a century. Last year, it chose President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris for the top spot. Person of the Year, whose recipient is chosen by the TIME editors at the end of each year, is not an award. It is representative of the influence the person or people had on the news over the previous year.

And considering Elon Musk’s tweets changing the stock markets and starting people hating or liking certain things, including Cryptocurriencies and many other things, He was the best person they could’ve chosen.
