Later that day, the studio announced that a “mitigation” will be used on Saturday morning. Players of Modern Warfare II are now receiving that update as of 12:22 PM ET. Parties should see a big improvement, according to Infinity Ward.

The patch is being released as the studio works to fix a few launch problems with Modern Warfare II. For instance, one problem prevents players from reaching the menu of the game while in a match. On PlayStation 4, another bug that Infinity Ward has since fixed caused an audio continuity issue. The ping function in Modern Warfare II had to be disabled as well because it might be used to monitor a single enemy player across an entire game.
