Apple Music and Apple TV+ are now more expensive

Apple has increased the costs for Apple TV+ and Apple Music. Individual plans for music in the US now cost $11 per month (up from $10), or $109 annually. The monthly cost of the Family plan has increased from $15 to $17. The biggest comparable price rise is for TV+, which went from $5 per month to $7 and from $50 per year to $69.

As a result, Apple raised the cost of its One packages with multiple services. Instead of $15 per month, an Individual plan now costs $17. Family users now pay $23 per month as opposed to $20, while Premier customers now pay $33 as opposed to $30 per month. According to Apple, the more expensive plans will enable authors and artists to “make more” from streaming music. The official continues that the TV+ rise also reflects the size of the service. When it first began three years ago, the video service offered “only a few series and movies,” but it now has a far wider repertoire.

If you are service-cross-shopping, this won’t excite you. Spotify continues to charge $10 per month for its basic plan and $16 for a family membership with six users. Although you won’t receive spatial or lossless audio, it’s a great deal if you’re more concerned with getting the best deal. With video services, things are more ambiguous. The higher One prices might be simpler to accept. Finding all-in-one packages that integrate music, video, cloud storage, and other services can be challenging, especially if you’re looking for anything Apple-friendly. And whether you like it or not, you probably won’t find substitutes like magazine subscriptions or exercise apps.
