Uber is now letting go of their loyalty programme

Uber will no longer offer a free loyalty programme. The business announced the closure of Uber Rewards on a support page, effective November 1. The final day to receive incentives is October 31st, with users having until the end of August to accumulate points.

Customers could earn points on each Uber and Uber Eats purchase after Uber Rewards was introduced in 2018. There are four membership tiers in the programme, and members can access new benefits at each level. For instance, the Platinum level offers priority airport pickups and insurance against price increases. Uber won’t provide an exact substitute for Uber Rewards. The business intends to advertise its pricey Uber One membership service instead. Free Uber Eats delivery and five percent off trips from top-rated Uber drivers are included in the $10 monthly subscription.

The business thanked customers for using Uber Rewards in an email announcing the closure. “Thank you for being part of Uber Rewards, It’s been a great ride, but we’ve decided to end Rewards soon, as we shift our focus to our new Uber One membership program.” Existing Rewards users will receive a complimentary one-month trial of Uber One from Uber. After that time, if you wish to continue receiving the program’s benefits, you must subscribe.
