Youtube creators can now easily sell merch on their channels

YouTube is now making it a lot easier for anyone to buy on merch from their favorite channel, as we will now let creators link their Shopify stores, which will make it a lot easier for users to snag their merch, you will know if the product is in stock and we won’t even have to leave a video to check out if a YouTuber is based in the US.

So if you see some must-have merchandise that a creator promotes as their own, you will be able to order it moments after you see it on the screen. This enhanced shopping feature is only available for eligible creators, so that means Youtubers with At least 10,000 subscribers on official artist channel monetization will be focused on not on child content and a largely spotless policy violation. So this means only existing creators on the platform will be able to utilize this feature and we won’t be able to launch your YouTube channel & Store at the same time as well.

YouTube will take a cut off any Shopify soils around the companies, also clearly hoping that their seamless experience will encourage you to shop through video pages, which might spur creators to building up large enough audience spaces that they can create a storefront. This will also help you to fend off competition from Instagram and others that already help users shop directly through social media posts right now.
