It’s been less than a year after Apple just announced the 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pros, and Apple reportedly is now planning to update these devices as early as this fall according to Mark Garman, the company is already working on an M2 version of the 14 and 16-inch models of the MacBook Pro. If you are thinking why Apple even released the current new M2 MacBook Pro, it was probably because they had a lot of chassis in stock and they had to get rid of them. [So if you are looking forward to getting yourself the new M2 MacBook Pro, you could just wait a little longer to get the better version]
The design and the features of the two new computers are “Likely going to stay the same” according to Mark Gurman. The primary change might be the addition of the M1 prey and M1 Max chips the company currently offers through the models. “Look for much of the focus to be on the graphics side, just like with the standard M2,” said Gurman.
Although Apple does truly, really hope to release the new MacBook Pros sometime in the fall, the company might end up delaying the devices to the spring of 2023 because of the continued supply chain challenges a lot of companies are facing right now, and it’s also very hard to predict when these will hit these store shelves, so we don’t know.
