What’s up? Previously launched emoji reactions with six options just a few months ago, and now they have boosted that number to the entire emoji lexicon as they are now very proud to roll out the ability to use any and every emoji as a reaction on WhatsApp, according to CEO Mark Zuckerberg. According to Mark Zuckerberg, his favorites were the 🏄‍♂️, 🍟, 👊 & 💯 emojis to react to anyone he chats with. Emoji reactions are a great way to keep communications efficient & quickly indicate to a message sender that you found their joke funny [or probably not] It’s also a great way to end the conversation.

If you’d like to use any emoji as a reaction, you can now long-press on any message and tap the plus [+] button on the right to get a full list of every emoji that you could use to react to the message. Well, then you could just select any emoji you want and it will appear in the usual way under a message.

This update will put WhatsApp on par with Messenger in terms of emoji reactions and it totally will work the same way on mobile. Telegram recently unveiled expanded emoji and animated reactions as well, but you will have to pay a $5 per month premium service fee to the company to be able to use those emojis. So considering that WhatsApp is offering these reactions totally for free to every user out there, this might end up helping the company grow its reach and get new users.
