Twitter is now testing a new feature in the platform that will now allow two different users to co-author a tweet. The company is calling it CoTweet. They are currently testing this feature with some select accounts in the United States, Canada, and Korea. With this feature, two accounts can be linked as the author of a single tweet, which will appear on the timelines of both accounts. This feature is very identical to the collapse feature introduced by Instagram last year although this feature is more geared towards brands and creators than the typical Twitter users.

According to an explanation by Twitter on their website, “CoTweets help authors share the spotlight, unlock opportunities for engaging new audiences and enhance their established partnerships,” Now that the company has expanded the test, a reporter spokesperson said that this feature is currently a temporary experiment, but did not say if or when this feature might be more widely available around the globe.
The spokesperson said that they are testing this feature for a limited time to learn how people and brands might useless the feature to grow and reach more audiences and strengthen their collaborations with other accounts.
