According to a big new rumor from Mark Garman in his newsletter, Apple is now working on a bigger Homepod once again and we could expect it to come out probably this year or next. The new Homepod, currently codenamed B620, will run the same S8 Chips that are going to be coming with the Apple Watch and it will be a lot, much closer to the original home pot in terms of size and audio performance rather than the new mini homepod.

There’s also going to be a new, better display on the top that will support multi-touch for the first time. Also, Mark is not the only one who’s saying that the larger home pod could be a thing as Ming-Chi Kuo, another industry analyst, also said that Apple is thinking of resurrecting the larger home pod once again and considering these two analysts have been pretty accurate over the years, the possibility of the larger Homepod being a thing again could be a reality very soon.
Currently the original Homepod It’s starting to show its age every day, and it seems like it’s getting very old. It currently holds the AA chip inside of it, which is also found in the iPhone 6 and it’s eight years old at this point, so everyone’s ready for our new full-size smart speaker to drop, right? Wrong, because the lack of customer demand for the larger Homepod is what led the company to discontinue it by itself before releasing the mini version and it seems to be very weird that the company is trying to resurrect it in hopes of bringing in more customers that will buy it which is highly unlikely.
