Select US-based creators on Facebook will now be able to post digital collectibles on their profiles from now on. NFTS has officially arrived on Facebook. It’s still very unclear if and when this feature will ever make its way to more users in the coming days, although the company does say that the release is going to be a very slow rollout and it will be better as the company is also testing NFT Integration and support on the social network.

Navdeep Singh [Meta Product manager] Has also posted photos on Twitter of what this new NFT integration will look like on Facebook’s and Instagram’s implementation. Creators will get a digital collectibles tab on their profile where they will be able to show off their NFTs. Creators will also be able to post their collectibles as status updates that people will be able to comment and react to, and clicking on them will show information on the artwork. Facebook will probably allow users to link their compatible digital wallets with the website, which is very similar to how they can do so on Instagram. Currently, Facebook will support NFTs that are minted on Etherium and Polygon, although they will continue to support Solana and Flow NFTs as well. The company has also tested Instagram integration with NFTs as they promised more related features like allowing users to display their pieces as AR Stickers on Stories.
