Instagram is testing a destructive new full-screen feed

Whether another new polarizing feature, Instagram, is getting very far away from what it originally was intended to be, the company is now testing a new full-screen version of the feed that will make scrolling posts look and feel a lot more like TikTok and Instagram Reels.

The previous attestation will be shared by Mark Zuckerberg on his Instagram story, saying that this new look would be available to some people very soon. Instagram started testing this new full-screen design version last month, But in the older version, posts didn’t take up the entire screen of the app. But with this latest version, posts will extend to the top of the screen, very much like on TikTok.

This new look also tweaks the shortcuts for accessing your inbox and creating new posts. Although there still is a social experiment, this new look is very in line with the company’s desire to compete with Its largest rival TikTok.

Zuckerberg went on to say that Photos are still a very important part of Instagram and they’re working on good ways to improve the way they show up in a full-screen feed. So we’re excited to see what they come up with to tackle the problem with Square images.
