Google just gave a minor upgrade to their Tasks app

Google Tasks app hasn’t been changed since it was introduced alongside the Gmail redesign back in 2018. Outside of the calendar integration that was added in 2020, the software has also kept its limited features and stayed the way it is, but it’s finally going to be getting song a lot better functionality which will make it easier for users to operate and use the service instead of justice having it out there and not using it.

Google just announced today that users will now be able to mark important to-do lists with a star and view and sort those items in a new view. It’s a small addition to the service, but users will appreciate it as the company is making it a lot easier to use and see critical tasks easier. Google said in a statement, “We hope this update makes it easier for you to prioritize your tasks and quickly navigate to important tasks across your projects.”

If you don’t see the star functionality right away yet, Google says that they are gradually rolling it out to all Google Workspace users in the future, and it might take up nearly 15 days for some users to see it appear.
