iOS 16 will now let you use Face ID horizontally

While we did manage to see all of the big upgrades like the Lock screen, readers are in better notifications and enhanced focus mode. iOS 16 is also bringing a key new feature that will be handy for a lot of users out there. Apple did not mention this in the keynote presentation but iOS 16 will soon allow you to use face ID even when your iPhone is oriented Horizontally.

This new improvement was spotted on Apple’s iOS 16 preview webpage, as Apple has now allowed iPad owners to use face ID in this way for a while now, so it’s not exactly a new feature, but it’s great to see one of those changes to iPhone.

This feature might be useful for users that use devices like the Razer Kishi or the Backbone One. On the preview page, Apple says that this feature will work with supported models without specifying the exact ones included in the list, but we’re sure the pro models will receive this new feature.
