At the start of this year, a lot of developers out there found references to realityOS, the OS for Apple’s long rumored VR and AR headset, and now a little more than a week before the start of WWDC 2022, this name just resurfaced in trademark Filings linked to Apple. There is evidence that suggests that Realityo Systems is a shell company created by Apple to obscure their tracks.

There’s the June 8th foreign filing deadline for both trademarks, which falls just two days after the start of WWDC. Additionally, Realityo Systems LLC shares the same address as Yosemite Research LLC, a shell company Apple used to secure trademarks for past versions of their Mac OS. [Yeah, including Monterey.]
It really seems like Apple is getting closer to the day they will feel comfortable sharing details about their AR and VR ambitions. However, we would caution against expecting any announcement as nearly as next week as the company won’t really hold a full presentation on their mixed reality headset at WWDC as apple isn’t really ready with the technology yet.
