WWDC 2022 is just a week away, and more details about what Apple is going to be announcing at the annual developer Conference are emerging. We now know that the company will have a fair amount to share about iOS 16, including enhancements to the lock screen, and more Wallpapers and widgets for the home screen.

iOS 16 will also support an always-on display, exclusive for the company’s next iPhone pro models. This functionality will allow these devices to show you notifications and other glanceable information without needing to fully wake up the displays and also not biting a lot of energy from the battery. Apple did say that they would add it to the iPhone 13 last year, but they chickened out and changed their plans to do it this year.
iOS 16 will also include better enhancements to how the OS handles multitasking and windowing, as there will be a way for iOS users to resize app windows which would be a feature particularly useful on iPad. Also, expecting the company to add new social networking features within messages, will help deepen their grip on the users dependent on iMessage.
