Netflix is probably going to be live streaming their upcoming slate of unscripted shows and comedy specials, the company is in the early stages of developing this capability. Netflix could use this technology to hold live voting for competitive shows among other great use cases for the company.

Although this feature doesn’t have a rollout date right now as there is a very small team within the company working on the very early stages of the technology. Also, the company recently updated its culture guidelines to add a new section called Artistic Expression, which tells potential employees they may be required to work on projects that may not align with their values.
The company states in a document, “Not everyone will like — or agree with — everything on our service… and we let viewers decide what’s appropriate for them, versus having Netflix censor specific artists or voices, Depending on your role, you may need to work on titles you perceive to be harmful. If you’d find it hard to support our content breadth, Netflix may not be the best place for you.”

Netflix has been spending the past 18 months discussing cultural issues with different employees, saying they rode the tweaked guidelines to help job seekers make more, better decisions about whether Netflix is the right company to work for.
