Harley-Davidson Livewire brand just unveiled their second all-electric motorcycle called the Middleweight Del Mar, after many months of teasing it. The bike has the company’s new Arrow platform with a 60 kWh motor capable of accelerating the bike from zero to 60 mph in under 4 seconds.

The Del Mar’s 21,700 battery is inside a case that’s part of the motorcycle frame, reducing the overall weight of the vehicle. Also, Livewire integrated a bunch of components including the onboard charger into one single unit outside the structural battery case.
The company expects the Del Mar to be able to travel approximately 100 miles with a single charge being additionally featured with GPS and cellular connectivity, allowing the company to roll out software features to the motorcycle and tune the performance.

After the launch, 100 Launch Edition Del Mar Motorcycles were available to pre-order at $17,699. Those 100 bikes sold out instantly. The production vehicle will go on sale in the spring of 2023, targeting a price of $15,000. It’s a pretty great deal considering that the company’s first electric motorcycle starts at 22 grand right now.
