Microsoft is making a streaming device to watch movies

Microsoft confirmed that they were making a dedicated streaming service and a smart TV app on the Xbox ecosystem 11 months ago, after which they didn’t announce any more details about it. But now it seems like they will be very soon.

You will be able to plug the streaming device directly into a TV or monitor and it also will look like either an Amazon Fire Stick or a Chromecast, you’ll also be able to watch movies and TV shows while also being able to stream games from your Game Pass ultimate. Microsoft is also working with Samsung on an Xbox app on the company’s TVs, so Samsung 2022 TV models could also support game streaming services like Google Stadia and NVIDIA GeForce Now, while also supporting the all-new Xbox Cloud gaming app.

The game streaming service took another big step this week by adding Fortnite to Xbox Cloud Gaming, allowing people to stream the Battle Royale game anywhere. This game streaming service might revolutionize the industry, as it is free and you won’t even need an Xbox Gamepass ultimate subscription to stream Fortnite, but just a Microsoft account. The company also says that they are interested in offering more free-to-play titles via cloud gaming.
