Apple just poached a veteran Ford executive to work on the Apple Car

Apple just employed a veteran Ford engineer/ executive [Desi Ujkashevic] to work on their gestating car project. Ujkashevic stuck with Ford since 1991 before leaving the company in March.

They managed Ford’s global body engineering crew, safety engineering for Ford of Europe, and the global design technical operations division. Considering they’ve already worked on Ford’s EVs, they’re exactly the kind of person you’d want for an EV project.

According to rumors, Apple is working on an autonomous EV since 2015 [dubbed Project Titan] They’ve suffered a bunch of setbacks over the years because of strategy/ staffing changes. Doug Field led Project Titan and left Apple to join Ford last September. However, hiring Ujkashevic does indicate that Apple is still building its EV.
